I was trying to sing my way through “Dancing the Batty Bat”, one of my favorite Count scenes ever, because I was thinking he went to twelve, but on second thought (Two! Two thoughts!), I think he only counted one-two-three repeatedly. Still a cool segment, though.
My unofficial answer: 10 is the highest the Count ever goes.

I was watching one last night that had Susan Sarandon and they were trying to get into a house by knocking. He goes all out knocking and knocking worrying Susan that he’s knocking too much. I think she stops him after he gets to 23. Then she finds out it was his house all along.
The highest I remember is eight, but it’s been a long time since I watched Sesame Street.
I don’t have anything to add, that’s just always the way I though his little laugh was spelled. Ah-Ah-Ahhhh. Very glottal.
Once, Luis was getting very frustrated while the Count interrupted his work at the fix-it shop, constantly counting every little thing that happened, causing lightning flashes, etc. So he asked the Count to go to the beach and count grains of sand. zip off he goes
Two skits later he returned and proclaimed “324 trillion, 647 billion…” etc number of grains of sand.
So I think you could argue that’s the highest he has gone (though we never saw him count from 1 upward).
They really coulda used him during the Spanish Inquisition…which I bet nobody here expected.
