Nah, it was just the only way I could get on base.
Also was in high school in the 80s. The bases corresponded to the “Four Fs”:
1st - Frenching
2nd - Feeling
3rd - Fingering
Home Plate - F***ing
Basically the same as What Exit?'s and GaryT’s scheme.
