Not urgent, but just popped into my head. I recall there was an episode late in the series where Carrie talks to an old woman in a diner, who tells her that when she was young she broke off a relationship because she thought someone better would come along, and it turned out no-one ever did afterwards.
Anyone remember which episode this is?
