How could there be a “no sex version” of what we’re discussing here?
That’d be your basic marriage.
I was given free room and board in a nice house if I cleaned, cooked and did basic chores for him. I already clean and cook for him on a part time basis. He has no people skills and works at home doing computer work, so I think he mostly pays to have company since his house isn’t messy at all. He’s kind of asexual, but if he found a girl he liked who was willing to give him sex, I doubt he would turn it down.
I’ve seen these ads up since when I first looked for a place out here in SoCal 3 years ago. And I don’t believe the guys posting these are monsters. First of all, it leaves a trail. Secondly, the girl’s gonna tell her friends and family her new address, Thirdly, if the guy doesn’t properly check/make note of her ID, she can completely clean him out. Fake IDs are pretty easy to get out here and the average person may not know how to spot a fake one, especially if she pretends to be from out of state. Fourthly, I don’t believe this situation is exploiting in the first place.
When my one friend did this, she wasn’t chosing this or homelessness. She looked at it and thought “I don’t have to pay $800 a month anymore!” The guy was overworked and shy and, like the person I clean for, lacking in social skills and friends. He wasn’t a monster or a creep, just had trouble meeting and dating women.
I have another female friend who would LOVE to find this kind of situation. When I went to Ohio and told her about the listings I found out here in California she said that she wished she could move out here. She also wants to Sugar Daddy, which is basically the same thing when you think about it. She has an apartment, she has a job, she goes to school etc. She just doesn’t put the attachment on sex that a lot of people do and has already slept with former bosses for money. She’d rather sleep her way through college then work a job. That’s her business.
I think prostitution should be legalized and I think this is fine. There are websites that are dating services for people who want Sugar Daddies/Mommies. This isn’t any different.
This is where it’ll get very icky. The best thing for the courts to do is nothing. It’s not prostitution because of their arrangement because it might just barely slide over the line of prostitution.
I, for one, think that prostitution should be legalized, licensed, regulated, and taxed. That gets done, and there are no more legal conundrums. If you want to speak morally, then that’s a different realm. I’m not convinced that prostitutes don’t have th eright to make their living however they see fit. If someone wants to pay Steve-O $1000 dollars do act like a buffoon on Jackass, then why can’t the hoes?
Then again, “he-said-she-said” doesn’t fly in courts, especially if there are no receipts and it’s purely verbal jousting.
Okay. West Dakota, then.
