Anybody else reading it? I bought it in the Atlanta airport yesterday, and am devouring it while staying at my in-laws.
He picked up right where he left off, and I’m deep deep inside that rich world he created.
I’ve been waiting for this one for a while, with more anticipation than I’m waiting for either Martin’s next “Ice & Fire” book, or even Jordan’s last “WOT” book. Mainly because I find Williams’ writing to be superior to Martin’s and Jordan’s.
Time to return to it!
:dubious: I haven’t read Jordan, but if you prefer Williams over Martin, I have to check this out.
I recently read The Burning Man in one of the Legends books, which convinced me to try the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn books – loved the first two but I skimmed Green Angel Tower.
I think Williams does atmosphere and place better than Martin, but I prefer Martin’s pacing. I don’t need to know every step a character is taking, or every day’s weather. Although I’ll admit that kind of detail does draw one into the story.
