After reading this CNN.com article, I couldn’t help posting what immediately sprang to mind:

Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;

Looking ahead to a long, slow, painful economic recovery…………

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death.

Sure sounds like the last eight years, doesn’t it?

Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more;

it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

Ah, Fox News is covering politics again. Or is that O’Reilly and Limbaugh commentating?
