Okay, Dmark wins. Some of the other stories have been pretty creepy, but that one gave me goosebumps all over.
…and I will swear on Bibles it is all true. The only reason it is really odd is that I am sure “Susan” does not remember that night, but I do vividly as that was the last time I ever saw her and thus it was my last memory of being with her. Imagine my face when I put that story with the true story of her life!
A Victorian era younster sitting at her favorite gorillaskin cloaked table?
That is damn creepy & goes to show why, tho I personally got no responses in my youthful Ouija experiments, I won’t touch those damn things now.
Hell, I know full-fledged Wiccans & other neo-Pagans whose opinions on Ouija are totally negative.
What about the big “face” in the background of the first pic. Not as creepy as the satanic monkey, but still…
Weird, yeah; Creepy- naw; Cooooollll- DEFINITELY!
It was September the twenty eighth 1978. My ex husband and I were pottering about the house, listening to a music programme on the local radio station. In the middle of the hour the news jingle came on, a news flash said the DJ. In the pause before the newsreader spoke my ex said “The Pope is dead!” Yup Pope John Paul I had died, just 33 days after his election.
Rationally, since it was less than two months since the last newsflash to tell us a pope had died, it was a good guess, but it’s still one of the spookieist things anyone has ever said to me.
Why would Wiccans and neo-Pagans be assumed to have positive opinions on Ouija boards?? :dubious:
Well, I don’t really have any of my OWN stories. But I have a story about my uncle. My uncle lives in a house in the middle of a historical city (bunch of old timey houses, historic buildings, stuff like that). There’s a swing set in his back yard. He maintains that one day, while doing yard work, one of the swings (only one) started swinging - no wind, no breeze, but the swing was swinging as if someone was sitting in it! My uncle isn’t a superstitious kind of guy. He doesn’t get scared easily, but he was caught off-guard. He kept going about his work for awhile, but he couldn’t help but notice the swing, still swinging! So he turned around and spoke to it. And the swing instantly STOPPED swinging! (he told me this, & I was freaking out!) He says that this has happened a couple of times.
I’ve also heard stories from my cousin about this house. He says that at night the lights will come on in the kitchen sometimes when no one is in there. And that sometimes he will go in the kitchen and the cabinet doors will be open (either a few of them or all of them). Yeesh!! That’s when I’d start packing!!
It’s funny 'cos they all seem rather calm about all this. So I don’t doubt that they saw what they saw. They’ve got no reason to make up a story like that for me.
On another note, my cell phone just started ringing as I was reading over this post. Freaked me out!!
