Sharon Stone and that scene from Basic Instinct,

Saw commericial last night for a tape called Body Shots, which claims to have clips of steamy shots of Hollywood actresses in movies. They state that it’s untouched images they’re using and they show the scene of which we speak, from Basic Instinct.

I heard the main cut in Basic Instinct was not of that scene but of an oral sex scene, which was deleted because of ‘visible tongue lapping’.

Also Michael Douglas’ small penis was said to be in the original. http://www.canoe.ca/JamMoviesArtistsV/verhoeven_paul.html

You mean Sharon Stone actually licked Michael Douglas’s schlong when they were filming this?! Darn it, I should’ve been a screen actor.

Oops no, it was Mike who was …ahem…‘simulating’ the giving of head.

Drat.

Do not be ridiculous. Actresses do not wear “pubic hair wigs”.

If you want to see actresses who were unafraid of full frontal nudity, see Glenda Jackson in Women in Love or Geraldine Chaplin in Welcome to L.A..

Ah, I think I’ve found out why. Here’s a quote from the link 4 messages above:
"The horror movie [Hollow Man] starring Kevin Bacon (opening Friday), a modern-day riff on The Invisible Man, came back rated R (AA in Canada), with no outraged demands for cuts.

A change of pace indeed for the amiable and odd Dutch director, who has attracted the box-office poison rating NC-17 for three Hollywood films (Basic Instinct, Showgirls and Starship Troopers). He hasn’t had an R since Total Recall, 10 years ago."
It sounds like the first cut Verhoeven submitted to the MPAA’s ratings board came back with an NC-17. This required him to cut a few things here and there to get it down to an R rating.

I remember, similarly, that Verhoeven had to cut about 30 seconds of intense violence out of Robocop to get it down to an R rating too. However, at the time Robocop came out, there was no such thing as an NC-17 rating; so if he hadn’t cut it he would have either had to release the movie as “Not Rated” or with an X rating, both of which have the same effect as NC-17.

I think the most explicit shot of this type in a mainstream movie has to be Susan Blakely in “Capone” (the one with Ben Gazzara as Capone). There’s a scene where she gets out of bed naked, and spreads her legs wide open. You can see much interior detail, so to speak. I remember it well because I saw it when I was about 15 on late night TV, and my eyes bugged out a mile.

I have to agree with you. Of course, the amazing part of that scene was when he was kissing her against the wall and she had no panties. Then he throws her over the couch, and the magically appearing panties are ripped off. You should give that scene careful investigation to see what I am talking about.
