From the thread title I thought this was going to be about a confrontation between the two. I came to say that Iron Man would kick Holmes’ arse.
Element of surprise might go to the one who’s disguised as a Chinaman.
In the sense of Doyle’s Holmes not being purely cerebral like Poirot or Miss Marple, sure. But compared to the RDJ movies, they’re not even in the same ballpark. Bare knuckle boxing, shootouts, explosions, crazy action sequences in a slaughterhouse with a bandsaw, climactic fight on top the tower bridge ending in a hanging, it’s practically an action movie.
And still Iron Man defeated the original Mandarin…
