I can particularly remember doing uchi-mata on a (I believe) Tomiki stylist, who claimed that he was unthrowable because he was going to do that ‘unliftable’ thing, so his ki made him stick to the floor.

Although, to be fair, I knew another guy who could bring off shiho-nage even in randori, especially if I got careless.

You know, aikido is my art and I love it, but why do we have such bullcrap artists n it? Unliftable unbendable my a*s.

The people who are really good are… really good. The rest of us have to thank whatever or whomever we thank when we pull off a good technique against a fine stylist in any art.

I would think that you should be able to call on your teacher to provide some massage therapy. Heck, it should be his responsibility to volunteer that service.

My husband says it isn’t therapy, it’s recreation…

And that he hasn’t submitted the paperwork yet, so he’s safe from having me kill him.

I think it might be a lonnnng time until that paperwork goes in.
