I haven’t gotten the shots for the past 12 years (never got sick). Anyway, is the current epidemic just about over? Would it be a waste of time to get one now?
Nobody can say whether getting a flu shot will be worth it for you. The bulk of the flu cases for this year may have already happened, but people get the flu throughout the year.
If you can deal with getting the flu then don’t bother with the shot. If the benefit of not getting the flu outweighs the cost (monetary or otherwise) then go get the shot.
Most healthy adults don’t get the flu whether they have the shot or not…
I had the same issue a few month ago, when the flu season was still pretty much happening. I asked about it here on the Dope, and I was finally convinced to get it.
I’d say get the shot if you don’t want to get sick.
