Crotalus is obviously talking about the first load at the start of the day as opposed to a locked back reload. I believe the issue with the reload is that people tend to let their hand ride the slide a little bit and the Kahr has such tight tolerances that it’s enough to cause a jam.
You either need to get your gun checked or rethink your ammo choices.
Appx. 7,000 rounds through the Glock with no misfires or malfunctions.
Thanks, not ammo. Currently trying to get SA to fix it.
Sorry that this reply to Stranger and Fubaya is so late.
I must have expressed myself poorly in previous posts. The activity that Kahr recommends against involves an empty gun with the slide NOT locked back. The underlying theory is that inserting a loaded magazine then working the slide by hand has the potential for the shooter to not push the slide back as far as it needs to go to chamber a round. What Kahr explicitly recommends is that when the slide is locked back after firing the magazine empty, simply reload and press the slide release. Loading is a two-hand operation, but releasing the slide is not. Press the slide release and the slide goes forward. There is no need to pull the slide back while pressing the slide release.
