I just saw the largest shooting star I’ve ever seen! If it weren’t 1:30 in the moring and absolutley quiet around here, I’d have thought it was an errant firework from a party. But tonight is a damp, cold, non-party kind of night. I was driving home from the late engraving shift at work, heading north a few blocks from Lake Erie, listening to Art Bell on the radio, when I see this huge light moving across the sky…as big as the streetlights…in fact, that’s what I thought it was at first, until it dropped and petered out as it headed for earth. It’s a clear, starry night out, so I spent some time star-gazing after I pulled in my driveway. I didn’t see any other activitiy, and as I said, it’s absolutely quiet around here, even though the neighbors are having a big party and cars are lining the street. No people around, no sounds at all, so I doubt it was a firework.
I just felt very happy after having seen it.
Of course, the thought did cross my mind that it might be a small plane flaming out and dropping into the lake, but it burned out so quickly, and was so compact that I doubt that. And since I was listening to Coast to Coast, the alien possibility was in my mind. But it made me feel happy, so it can’t have been anything bad, right?
Anyone else seeing any nighttime visions tonight or recently?
