I have a potential web client who is interesting in making a website with shopping cart capability. Normally, I would suggest PayPal as a relatively cheap and easy solution, but this client is morally opposed to PayPal for some reason, which he will not elaborate. He just won’t do PayPal.
So. I’m looking for other suggestions as to some good, reliable, useful shopping cart services, hopefully that aren’t too expensive. The potential client is a car dealer, and they are notoriously reluctant to spend money.
Ideally, I’d like the shopping cart to have a back end tool that the client could use to manage their inventory, and I’d like it to have a customizable design scheme. The customer-facing end should be fully customizable on my part, and I’d like to be able to incorporate it into a larger site. Beyond these things, I’m open to options.
I was looking at Monster Commerce as a possbility, though it’s a bit pricy. It does seem to offer a good package.
Any other suggestions from more seasoned web developers than I? This is my first time looking into this on a scale larger than PayPal offers…
