Short story about robbers hiding in a graveyard.

I remember reading a short story years back in school about three robbers hiding in a graveyard. The basic story was they had stole some gold and hiding out. They eventually grew hungry and was trying to decide who would go to town for supplies. They kept arguing about who would watch the gold and finally one leaves for town. After he returns I think he had some wine and if I remember correctly the other two killed him then drank the wine which he had secretly poisoned and they died. I may not have the deaths right but they all three died. Anyone know where I can find this story. Thanks.

It’s one of the Canterbury Tales I forget which one

Thanks. I knew it was a collection of stories type book but as a kid you don’t really pay much attention to the titles. This was probably around 88’ or so when we read it.

“The Pardoner’s Tale.”

Thanks so much. I think of this tale from time to time but could never put my finger on it.
