Um, no. In no way, shape, or form is that a non-partisan site. (AlsoNinjadByBort)
“The Illinois Policy Institute is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) research organization. Our partner organization, Illinois Policy, is an independent, nonpartisan 501(c)(4) advocacy organization.”
I won’t continue a potential hijack of this thread further.
Thanks, yet another example of right-wing folks lying!
Oh, and the actual point from that partisan website is that unions will be allowed to ask for raises, and the state will be allowed to give them raises. How could it be any other way? Anyone can ask for anything.
To be honest, I was leaning voting NO on Amendment 1 until I saw these attack ads and those stupid newspapers in my mail. I did a little research, and changed my vote to YES by the time I got to the ballot box. This is not the first time an attack ad has swayed my vote to the other side. Of course, in this case, I’m probably the minority, but those types of ads make me dig harder than I normally would.
