I’m trying to wrap my mind around the appeal of touching these particular stones. Is there a magnetic pull? I’ve seen plenty of art and cool things and don’t know that touching them would’ve improved the experience. Anyway, I’ll answer the question as “no”.
I’m quite aware, thanks. AS I said, I don’t want to continue this discussion because it seems like a hijack. My apologies to the OP for veerung off-topic.
Right, and if this idea is popular they should put up a placebo stone for people to touch.
They do, the ones SanVito mentioned. A fake one that actually tried to look like and be as big as the real stones would kinda mess the site up.
No problem. I (usually) actually don’t mind when my threads get ‘hijacked’ or go off-topic. The tangents and side roads are often very interesting and informative.
Yes, and some DUDE! bought a Banksy and shredded it!!!
That Banksy that Walken and crew painted over was done by him specially for the show to paint over it. They asked him to, and in the middle of the night he did so.
NPR interviewed Stephen Merchant and he told the story.
Yesterday morning at Stonehenge:
I hope Christopher Walken was able to make it yesterday!
I would have said Charlie Watts myself.
That lady in the blue backpack leaning on the small stone makes me nervous.
But Christopher Walken certainly can’t touch the Queen, or he gets thrown in the Tower. Alison Janney only got away with it because our Liz likes The West Wing.
If you let Walken touch Stonehenge then the next thing you know, he’ll demand more cowbells.
