Only the President and former Gov. Weld are on the ballot. I would be voting Weld. All the other elections hold primaries in August. Is it worth my time? I would probably lose a lunch break over this.

No
Uh, welcome to the Dope.

What’s the former governor running for, and what’s his party?
I think everything that shows a lack of support for trump is important. Here in Colorado Trump only got 92% of the vote which if nothing else shows the Republicans aren’t completely behind him.
OP, are both of those options Republican candidates? If so, you should have just titled your thread: “Should I vote for Republicans and not Democrats, or should I stay home and not vote for Democrats”.
President, Republican.

I’m talking about the primary vote. We have closed primaries in Florida. Democrats aren’t on my ballot yet. If I had registered Democrat, I wouldn’t have any say whatsoever in any of the local elections.

You should vote for Weld in the primary. Aside from the fact he is one of those rare Republicans who is actually a decent person, every vote that goes to Weld will irritate the shit out of DJT.
Well yeah, you should go vote against Trump. You should also tie your shoes, and look both ways before crossing the street.
And vote for Democrats- they don’t want you to have to give up a lunch break to vote.
I would consider sending a message to Trump (and to the rest of the Republican Party) to be a worthwhile goal.
Not sure if you’re aware of it, but Weld is running against Trump in the primary.
Considering that he’s running for president on a Republican ticket I think readers of this thread are aware.
Yeah, I’m aware now, and puzzled by the indecision. Against Trump, in any situation, safe call. Wait for the fallout in case you fucked it up, but you probably didn’t.
Unless you stayed home, enabling Trump.
Seems simple enough to me, OP.
Does the ballot allow for a write-in? I don’t recall, and my primary ballot was pretty empty (registered Independent).
I kind of put voting up there with exercise, trying to eat right, being kind to old people - it’s the sort of thing you should just do because you should just do it. I’ve voted in many elections where there was 0% chance of my vote counting - and at least one local election where every candidate I voted for was unopposed - but it’s just a good habit to have, so I keep doing it every time I can.
This.
Definitely this.
Yes! It may very well be the most critical right that we have as a free people.
