Should I tip for tying down the tree?

On Saturday we will be making the traditional trek to the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains to cut down our Christmas tree. The trip home involves approximately 15 miles of freeway driving. Having very little faith in my own ability to tie a knot that will hold at 60 mph, I always have the guys working at the farm tie the tree to the vehicle. Is a tip for this service in order? Or is a wish for a happy holiday season sufficient?

I’d tip, it’s an easy way to be generous. Besides, it’s Christmas!

I agree, a tip would be nice. Who knows, maybe they won’t even accept it, but it is a nice gesture.

Tipping would probably be a good thing to do. After all, tis the season and all that!

Thanks, all. That’s pretty much what I was thinking but when I said so to the local peanut gallery they thought I was silly. Of course, they often think I’m silly…
