By the way, y’all. If you ever experience a catastrophic HD crash and lose all your music, DON’T let the iPod sync up with an empty iTunes. It will promptly erase all your music (ask me how I know).
Instead, use one of the many free utilities out there that allow you to transfer music off of your iPod.

I had a problem similar to World Eater’s. In my case my computer became deauthorized and I just had to reauthorize it as one of the 5 my music purchased from iTunes was authorized on. It was only showing the songs I had burned from CD, not the purchased songs, in case someone thinks they might have the same problem.
Yeah, this was my first thought. First thing I did was disconnect my Ipod from the computer. That way, I save me from myself.
I saw that my folder had all the music files in it, Itunes just seemed to take a real liking to some other folder with a few random mp3s in it. After being unable to point it back to the old one, I just reimported it. I must say after that, I do like Itunes 6 very much. The podcasting stuff is exactly what I was hoping for.
Correction: you saved yourself from Apple.
btw, Podcasting support has been there since 4.9. Pretty much the only point of 6.0 was to include Videos section and to break J-Hymn.
