The TV show. I watched all of season one. I generally enjoyed it. It was very well written. However, the season finale kinda wrapped things up pretty well, mostly.
Everyone had their memories restored, and Mr. Gold brought magic back.
I’m trying to get worked up for season 2. I’ve been recording it on my DVR. I even watched the season 1 review episode. I just can’t get motivated to watch season 2.
So, without any significant spoilers, can you motivate me to watch season 2? Or should I just clear the space on my DVR. I can certainly use it. I’ve been hitting recording limits and having to On Demand some programs the last couple weeks.
The wife and I watched season one on Netflix. We thought it was pretty clever and enjoyable, despite a few noticeable flaws.
We’ve been keeping up with season two week-by-week, and we just haven’t been feeling it. Some of it may be that we’re watching it one episode at a time instead of several in a row, but season two just doesn’t have the same charm that the first one did.
I think a lot of what kept us interested last season was figuring out which Storybrooke character belonged to which fairy tale, and watching how the writers developed those revealing moments. Season two, in which all of that is pretty much done with, lacks that aspect.
We’re still watching it, but I think it’s mostly out of inertia at this point.
Season One was about learning the backgrounds of the characters you have been familiar with since you were a child. How they got to be the way they were.
Now in Season Two they are faced with situations you would never have expected. It makes it all new. To me anyway. I’m enjoying it a lot. Especially since with the way Season One ended I didn’t see where it could possibly go.
