The on going carnage in the gaza Strip has resulted in a large number of wounded and sick hospital patients with nowhere to go. the gaza hospitals are overwhelmed-they are short of supplies and power. Should Israel 'do the right thing"-and allow these people entry? Of course, they might find a few militants coming in-is it worth the risk?
What do the Imams have to say about this-can a good muslim accpet medical help from the jews (those children of the Devil)? Would it be wrong to allow Jewish doctors to treat the muslim wounded?
The newly appointed Israeli minister of defense, Ehud Barak, just instructed IDF to allow evacuation of Palestinians in need of hospital treatment to Israel. cite.
I don’t know about the Imams, but Israeli doctors should definitely treat wounded Muslims. Heck, Israeli doctors had treated wounded terrorists!
BTW, Gaza also borders Egypt, but I’m not sure if that border is open for wounded / sick people.
I don’t think there’s anything to debate about whether or not Jewish doctors should or will treat sick Palestinians. They do it, they’ve always done it, they always will do it.
As for Imams proclaiming that Muslims should refuse treatment by Jewish doctors, well that’s an original idea. I’ve never heard of it before. I think there’s a tradition in Islam that you are allowed to take, even steal from your enemies, so I don’t think that idea is going to go very far.
But if someone has heard differently, I’d like to hear it too.
