The parents don’t get Easter baskets in my family, but a chocolate bunny is sometimes given. The kids have an Easter egg hunt, and their baskets are left in their doorway. It’s been many moons since we’ve had an Easter egg hunt!
I’m just looking forward to having Good Friday off from work.
But… but… how do you stand not having jelly beans. (The good kind, not those over-priced-obnoxious-flavored-pretentious-taste-like-crap gormet ones.)
Seriously, my folks never had a basket, but the easter Bunny always hid one for each of us kids.
One of my friends as a child would have a treasure hunt for his basket. There would be a note by his bed when he woke up with a clue as to where the next note would be, and so on until he found the basket.
I don’t think parents should get Easter baskets, and we never did.
But we didn’t go in for birthday presents for adults either, an I know some of my friends still do that.
To me, once you’re coving your own expenses all gifts are odd. I don’t like swapping Christmas gifts with coworkers, for example.
