I just went back and reread my message. And aside from one snipe at the attitude of the OP, that was what my first post here was attempting to debate, as did Martin Hyde. However, the idea of a wit-laden pile-on of not only the Latex Division but the entire Kel Varnsen operation was irresistible to many Dopers.
That said, let me question Gaudere (since the thread is now in the right location for questioning moderator decisions) – why move this to the Pit? IMO it deserves locking – if anyone wants to pit Karl for his efforts to push sectional superiority attitudes, they certainly are capable of instituting such a thread, as has been amply proven by the Pitting of almost everybody over the years.
