The southerners in GWTW were the HEROES, they were noble honest people, doing their best to save themselves from the horrible Union. This horrible racist propaganda was propagated by Hollywood, not only the Studios, but the Directors, Producers, and yes the Actors.

At that time actors were under strict contracts with particular studios and didn’t have as much say in what the could/would do. BTW, what did you think of her performance in “GWTW”?
