Show of hands - who is not on Facebook?

The missus has a Facebook page that she checks on a regular basis but I don’t bother with it.

No interest in other social network tools ( Twitter, Instagram, etc. ), unless you count the SDMB.

I’ve never used a telephone.

I have an account under a fake name but never use it.

For some reason, this reminds me of a song: All The Gold In California by Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers

Yeah, but I suspect we’ll be waiting some time to hear from someone who has never gone on SDMB! :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t have a twitter, but do have a facebook and use it regularly. Honestly, I could live without it, and have for various periods of time.

31, male. Nope. Tried it for a week or two but found the interface and the bullshit too irritating. I am a heavy user of Twitter though. Slightly different poison.

No facebook, no interest. I think I’ve signed up for twitter but never used it and have no idea of my screenname or password.

I’ve seen Pinterest, because Dopers have linked to things there, but I have not used it.

Three things!

“Not on Facebook” is the new “I Don’t Own a TV”. Don’t we do one of these threads every couple of months?

I dunno - I’ve never used the search function.

I’ve heard of Pinterest - that’s about it. How big is it? Cause if that’s our 3d, I’ll mail stretch a letter!

No face book here either. I had a Twitter account for a few days before that seemed like such a waste for me.

Not on Facebook, and don’t have a Twitter account either.

But since I’m still using Livejournal, I can hardly be accused of being an elitist snob when it comes to social media!

Pinterest was launched in 2010 and reportedly has 48.7 million users and climbing. So it’s not in the same league yet, but it’s heading there fast. Twitter has apx. 554 million and Facebook is just over 1 billion, according to various sources.

Oh I’m a television slut, but I’m not on Facebook and I don’t check peoples’ Facebook pages, no matter how much they insist. I can’t seem to summon the interest and energy. I enjoy more personal, two-way communications.

I’ve lost touch with a few otherwise fun and interesting friends because they found emailing too taxing and old-fashioned, and just wanted to present their lives for mass consumption via Facebook.

I do read my Twitter feed pretty often, though I don’t post. It’s a good source of news, and makes me laugh.

Maybe, but I was too cool to open it.

Regards,
Shodan

That’s me too. The only reason I signed up was to look to see what my teenage daughter was posting.

I have a FB account which I started because I wanted to search for someone, but it has nothing on it to speak of, and I don’t have any “friends” there.
Roddy

I have a Facebook account, but the only thing I’ve ever done with it is confirm friend requests. I’m not even really sure what could be done with it.

That’s probably why I never signed up.
