A few more good ones that I have used recently:

Joe

I was there just last month, it really is fantastic but the whole country is, really. You really earn it though, it’s a small hike up a fair amount of stairs. Great day.

Incidentally, here’s mine

This is my current wallpaper.

This is mine, only the dog is at the top right of my screen and the green water fades into a solid green background. That’s my dog swimming

My collection of on-line wallpapers are here. At the moment, my wallpaper is a B-17.

This picture of Heinz Field.

Blaze A Trail To The GravelPit BBQ.

A badass Team Fortress pyro wallpaper.

I change often and always use my own photos.
Currently its this, and next in line this.
KDE used to have an option to have a separate wallpaper image for each desktop, but since KDE4 was out this is no longer the case. That sucks.

This is mine. It’s a peony that I had at my old house; I’m planning to plant another one just like it at our new house. One of the coolest things about it (other than the gorgeous colour) was the variation in the blooms, from almost singlesto multi-ruffles.

NASA T-34C in flight.

I like the pig!

I’m trying hard to remember my oldest wallpaper from 1995 or so. Hard to do!

That’s very interesting - it makes me want to do it up on a ceramic tile, carving it into the surface.

That’s nifty. Did you take the photo?

Those are beautiful.

Thank you - nothing like a peony to give you maximum bang for your buck.

Mine was solid black until I got a second monitor and tried to diagnose why it wasn’t showing an image. :smack:
It comes with KDE and I think it’s pretty: code poets dream.

One I took myself, swans zooming in for bread at Lincoln (Lincolnshire UK). I find it very restful.

Not so! It’s not as simple as it was in KDE3, but you can get the same effect using activities.

Some really nice pictures here. I particularly like **Lute Skywatcher’s auroras, Giles’ Chicago and garygnu’s **tree in mist. **Cat Whisperer’s **gorgeous peony inspires me to post an old one of mine:

I have my background set to change every 30 minutes in Windows 7, from a folder full of amazing high-res backgrounds that I downloaded for free from wallbase.net.

They have an incredible selection of wallpapers that you can sort based on resolution and whether they are SFW, “Sketchy” (possible NSFW), or NSFW. They have a lot of backgrounds designed for widescreen as well as standard resolutions.
