Few hundred dollars per place setting fine china tableware. At a time when fine china tableware was still a common request. And when $500 was actually real money.
I’ve been invited to a shower and some of the higher end items are an espresso maker for $700 and a cooler for $450. There’s also a request for a $350 air fryer. I think those items are really over the top, but I haven’t been to a shower in years.
