Shows that do a good job of making fun of liberals.

I love a good laugh, even if it’s at my own expense.
My submissions would be:

American Dad (Stan being tortured by being forced to listen to NPR was fucking hilarious)

Last Man Standing (Lots of good one liners from Tim)

Family Guy.

Im not sure if its a show but George Carlins HBO specials are good at making fun on Libs and Cons.

I love the episode of Frasier where his favorite political candidate confides that he was abducted by extraterrestials, and is then exposed as employing illegal aliens.

That’s what I love about George Carlin. He saw through ALL of the bullshit people are stupid enough to believe in nowadays and wasn’t afraid to voice it.

George Carlin skewered anyone who was hypocritical or stupid regardless of ideology.

I think Aaron Sorkin does a great job of portraying what is essentially the worst in progressive ideology especially when he is actually trying to promote it. The guy can write dialog but he can’t plot for shit and his characters have less depth than a cardboard cut out of Donald Trump promoting Trump “University”. So, ironically, I’m going to check The West Wing and The Newsroom.

Phil Ochs’ Love Me, I’m a Liberal skewered liberals, but from the perspective of the radical left.

30 Rock often poked fun at Liz Lemon’s liberal sensitivities.

Portlandia, perhaps?

King of the Hill. And sometimes The Simpsons.

Portlandia satirizes pretentious hipsterism and overly nostalgic retro-culture rather than liberalism per se, although its targets are of generally liberal persuasion by cohort.

Despite the obvious leanings of the cast, Saturday Night Live actually does a pretty good job of mocking liberals along with everyone else. It’s first episode after the 2016 election had Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock mocking a roomful of white liberal voters for being in denial that Hillary Clinton could lose and the subsequent handwringing after the result was announced. (“This is the worst thing this country has ever done!” Chappelle and Rock trade a look and start laughing uncontrollably)

Thing is, many times Stan learns a lesson and it’s usually the liberal lesson. And the show routinely makes his right wing, Red, White, and Blue beliefs out to be buffoonery.

So I wouldn’t count this show as making fun if liberals.

Would Dharma and Greg count?

I’ve only seen a couple of episodes of “Last Man Standing” but I would argue the OP’s point that it does a “good job” of making fun of liberals. From what I remember, most of the jokes were just poorly written cheap shots.

South Park. The “Man bear pig” episode is a good example.

In Community (our current binge) they pretty consistently mock Britta’s liberal positions.

Two recently added characters are named PC Principal and Strong Woman.

Parks and Rec hits Leslie Knope’s liberal sensibilities pretty hard, perhaps even harder than the more obvious knocks on Ron Swanson’s libertarian views.

Yes, I was going to post that one myself.

Also, the Beverly Hillbillies has an episode with some silly little sociology major trying to liberate Granny from oppression.

I think there is a distinction to be made between comedy that points out hypocrisy (George Carlin, South Park, American Dad) or gently skewers the foibles of those who may be a bit over-earnest (Portlandia, Dharma & Greg), and cheap-shot attacks on liberalism itself. From what little I’ve seen of Last Man Standing, it’s the TV equivalent of a meme with the word “Libtard” in it.

Yeah, I thought it was cringe-worthy.

I believe Man Bear Pig came back and Al Gore was proven right. I mean, like in the last couple of seasons they went back to this storyline.

Or did I imagine it?
