Why am I intermittently prompted to sign-in, such as to Ebay, even after I select the “keep signed in on this computer” option? And I’m not clearing the cache or cookies.
Does it happen once in awhile or all the time. A corrupt cookie will do this sometimes. Once in a great while, when this happen, I have to delete all my cookies to get them to take again. It’s like my browser (I use Chrome) gets fed up and makes you start over from scratch.
It could be the site’s server is not working right either. Other sites time you out after a few minutes of non-use
Not a good idea to be continuously logged on for a very long time.
Maybe the website has a routine to check to see just how long you have been logged on.
Yes but are you shutting the browser down or failing to navigate on these sites for an extended period of time? “Keep signed in” may only extend the active session by an arbitrary period of time. I know Ebay will end your active session upon shutting the browser down.
