Say the Bingleys from Pride and Prejudice owned a dog. gigi wanted to label a gift to said dog in Latin but doesn’t know its name. How would she write “the Bingley dog” in Latin? Since it’s been 30 years since my last declension, what is the term for getting the adjective to match the noun correctly?

You mean agreement?

I would put “canis” in the dative, so my translation is Cani fido Bingleorum (“for the faithful dog of the Bingleys”). I dropped the “y” from the surname because that’s what Peter Needham did with Dursley in his translations of Harry Potter (except in the nominative).
