I suppose you have. I can’t tell, but it seems you think PC is another word for “liberal,” but it’s not. PC is enforcing the orthodoxy of the group, often focused on using the right words or not uttering certain ideas. Conservative groups have their own PC language too, or Star Wars fans (say you like the Christmas Special), or this message board – any group does. These terrorists literally want to kill people for not conforming to their standards. Depictions of Muhammad are super non-PC to them. Most of the time when people complain about PC in Western cultures it’s boycotts or being fired from your job or people harrumphing at you. The liberal PC police aren’t coming to chop off your head.
That you like both snails and oysters?
You have no idea how turned on I am right now.
Flavor Aid, thank you very much, you bougie bitch.
And it’s going to take 6 months and oceans of lotion to heal up your poor hands from having to type in all those URLs.
I don’t even want to know what weasel zippers.us is selling.

Given how thoroughly you poisoned the well on the very opening post, you can hardly blame people for choosing the koolaid instead.
[rul=UCLA grad students stage sit-in during a class to protest what they see as racially hostile climate]Found it. There’s a lot going on under the hood here. As far as I can tell from what I’ve read, the complaints weren’t in particular about this prof, but about a climate, and some of his actions were used as examples. Only one of these actions involved a correction (of style, not grammar), and his correction was indeed a little questionable. (At the PhD level, a student who consistently capitalizes “Indigenous” is clearly making a stylistic choice and shouldn’t be corrected for that.) And though I wasn’t there, I’ve hung around online with people who talk about microaggression enough to know that it’s very likely their focus was on social forces and their effects on minorities, such that citing a single action shouldn’t be taken as an attack on the professor per se simply as an example illustrating those forces and their effects.
Dun, dun! Dun, dun!
I am Iron Mac!

Nah, it’s mainly because you’re a fucking dimwit who can’t frame a coherent thought.
You’re tired of PC?
Fox News is too, apparently.
Fox Host Wonders How to Spot “Bad Guys” Without Knowing the “Tone of Their Skin”.
Amidst all the ranting, outrage, condemnation, and other assorted freaking out, I have discovered one thing that is amusing to me, at least a bit: a minority, in this case 3 or 4, people carried out an attack and said that their motivation was based on their religion. Mind you, there are about a billion or so (that would be the US billion, assuming certain areas of the word are still using the “thousand million” thing to sidetrack others from knowing what number they’re talking about) Muslims on the planet at the moment.
Well, the amusing thing is that so many of the non-killing Muslims have pointed out that their religion actually does not teach doing what the terrorists did. But, oddly enough, we have a bunch of people who, knowing precious little about Islam (or even their own avowed faith, for that matter), deciding that the killers are, in fact, the best, the most correct, followers of Islam and to hell with any lying son-of-a-bitch who says he’s Muslim and the faith doesn’t teach that.
You know, I was mistaken. It’s not funny at all. In this thread, in a related thread on this board, and a similar thread on another board, mostly what I’ve seen is a bunch of bigoted bullshit about Islam and Muslims.
We have Muslim posters here and have had since the beginning of the board. Think about what some of you are saying about Islam and Muslims and then think about what that says about those posters. Yet, they manage to be civil in their discourse to you. Pretty amazing if the aspersions cast about Muslims were true. But, of course, they’re not true.
If you want to know if you’re one of the people I’m talking about, find a mirror and look into it. Might I suggest some of you use a mirror at the proctologist’s office?
Aww, you’re mad because people kill in the name of Allah and we are calling them Islamic. Boo-hoo. Get your proctologist to write a scrip for Prozac if that hurts your feelings.
Yeah, look. We only have room for one troll in this thread, and it’s the OP. Quit trying to take his spotlight, you diva whore.
Awww, you’re cute.
I tear of sadness for those that betray their own (liberal) principles in the name of Political Correctness.
I tear of sadness?
I burning your dog.
Jesus, this shtick is tiresome.
Grow up.
No actually, innocent people being killed in the name of Islam is tiring. My pointing out the religious underpinning is maddening only to your consonant view of the world.
I won’t apologize for your apologism. You liberals, who stand for equality of women, gays, and atheists, among other ancillary groups, betray your own ideals to defend such religious doctrine. Your adherence to the belief that an intolerant minority, simply because they are a minority among our liberal democracies, is deserving of undue deference has swallowed your own integrity. You have become the caricature of the man who feeds his own hand to the hungry beggar, not seeing the end result.
If you can live with such hypocrisy, borne of misguided good-intentions, your willing blindness exceeds the wells of most honest men and women. I tear to think of your folly.
That’s not PC, that’s taboo… PC is a specific kind of taboo.
