Sim cards, switching mobile service

From Xfinity chat:

Your apps on your device are stored on the device itself, however information such as your contacts can be saved up on your Sim Card, you would need to check if the contacts for your device are saved on the device instead of the sim card

So it sounds like my apps are safe and I don’t have to buy them again. How do I see where my contacts are stored? The agent at Xfinity said go to Settings => Contacts => Import SIM Contacts. I did that. It took zero time. I still don’t know how to look at my phone and find where it says ‘These are your contacts on this phone and not on the SIM card.’ I like verification on things. I have an iPhone 6S.

My wife has some sort of LG that’s several years old. How do we ensure that her contacts are transferred to her phone from the SIM card?

Is there any way to transfer SIM card data to a computer, and then send the information to a new SIM card?

Try googling “your wife’s exact lg model” + manual or dig around the options menu. All phones can do this.

And for your iphone, How to Transfer Contacts from iPhone to SIM Card - Contacts Mentor

The quickest non-technical way to do this would be to take the SIM out, and just log into your WIFI. Only the contacts stored in the phone and in the cloud will be accessible.
