Was this a rerun? Because, damn, it was one of the funniest ones I’ve seen in ages! “Kings don’t kill babies. Giant pointy swords do!” “A kraut! Them’s good eatin’!”
“The Christmas Episode”
I thought all 3 pieces worked very well. Overall a very good episode that I’d like to see again.
Any episode that has 2x Burns is going to be a classic.
Unlike Snake, I like it when they have musical segments. Not a bad episode. Not great, but not bad.
Best Episode of the Season. The Jesus sermon was funny like early seasons funny. Gramppa and Santa was ok and the Nutcracker suite at the end had every Moe Gag, The Dustbustering of Marley and the Kwiki Mart for fun.
Rancid Lard was funny too.
I thought it was a great episode myself (Any mod mind closing my thread?). The Nutcracker-riff was a nice way to end it as well. That’s as good as many of the older episodes.
Reindeer dogfight! Bizarre, but good bizarre, not just bizarre for the point of being bizarre.
I’ve merged the threads. Woo-hoo!
[Burns]Ex-cellent![/burns]
Thanks.
How did you guys find that funny? It was seriously one of the worst, lamest episodes I’ve seen in a long, long time. I don’t think I so much as cracked a grin once.
Well, I was going to watch the Simpsons, but Bush decided to preempt it in the Mountain timezone to make some damn speech. So screw Bush. If I wanted to hear this argument, I could’ve paid more attention to Rice this morning on Fox News Sunday and Meet the Press. They’d better show the complete Sunday lineup after this.
Hey, think of it this way - you’re missing the Simpsons and the Michael Rappaport vehicle. I’m missing Family Guy and American Dad. So Bush can give us more crappy glurge and vague non-solutions regarding the war.
Very clever idea…a festive Treehouse of Horror, as it were. Without the horror. I thought the Nutcracker segment was the weakest, although it did have its moments, such as Moe’s various suicide attempts (“18 wheels and I missed all of them!”) My favorite was the WWII story (either Grampa, an esteemed member of the Flyin’ Hellfish, is one of the few people to fight in both theaters in the war, or he’s even more senile than we thought).
I wonder if they’re gonna get angry letters from portraying Jesus as Bart.
Or depicting him as performing miracles the same way Jeannie does.
Well, they’re showing the complete Family Guy (and boy is it funny!) here, so I hope you’re watching and not sitting there stewing.
Haha, nope, I watched it and American Dad.
I’m as big a Simpsons fan as there is, but I gotta agree with you on this one.
Rank is meaningless here! We’re in nature where only the strongest will…how DARE you drown the King of New Burns Island!!
So many tiny plastic Christmasses ruined…
You never mentioned a brother before!
And I’ll never mention him again.
