I just checked another 16th season episode and it turns out what I thought was a producer credit rake gag is in fact the producer credit list at the beginning of every show. :smack:

I think I heard somewhere that everyone who contributed a joke to the script gets a Producer credit. They have something like 20 writers, so that’s 20 producers right there. Some of the animators must get producer credits as well, right? Then the gofers… it adds up.

But this episode didn’t contain any jokes, so nobody should have gotten producer credit.

I liked the gag at the beginning poking fun at the amount of people that get producer credits. 2 and a half minutes in and they were still listing co-executive producers!

Reminded me of the episode where Lisa saw a tree with initials carved in it and wondered aloud, “Why do they think we want to see their stupid names?”, just before the caption “WRITTEN BY IAN MAXTONE-GRAHAM” spiraled in and took up the whole screen.

Oh, and I think the Shelbyvillians (heh) were saying “hoot, hoot, hoot”. Hooting = mocking. Just another Simpsons gag that hinges on total literalism.
