Simpsons Reference - The Island

I just saw a Simpsons rerun where Homer starts a web site (Mr X) and stumbles upon a conspiracy regrading flu innoculations. As a result he is taken to an island where he’s drugged etc. The thing that caught my eye was that the island had this great kinda wacky “60’s mod/beatnic” thing going on.

I then remembered a Cheech and Chong movie that had a similar scene. So I hafta think that they are referencing the same movie or show.
Any ideas what it is?

It’s a reference to the surreal 1960s spy show, The Prisoner.
