Since when did the soundbyte 'Young People' Become so common?

I’ve noticed on tv and in the newspapers, from politicians to political pundits alike, everyone (Especially in the UK Media) Seems to be using this soundbyte ‘Young People’ ad infinitum.

It’s driving me crazy, it’s almost as if every politician has used this annoying phrase in the last 18 months at least three times.

So I’m wondering why it has become so common to hear it, it’s on a par with **WMD **as being the most annoying soundbyte used in the media in the last 15 years.

What do you propose instead? Kids? They who don’t fully understand the complexity of ethics?
I favor The Ute myself.
