Singing at the Andrea Bocelli concerts

I’ve been invited to be part of the (approximately 40 voice) group that will sing at Andrea Bocelli’s two Sydney concerts on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 September.

I don’t know yet what we’ll be singing. I haven’t heard much of Signor Bocelli’s work but I gather that his repertoire is mostly traditional operatic arias and light popular music. We’ll probably just do some chorus backing vocals and possibly a bit of sacred music as well. Anyway, it could turn out to be quite a fun gig. The performances are going to be held at the Superdome, which is part of the Olympic complex and can seat around 10,000-12,000 I think.

Occasionally. The last time was a few years ago when Barbra Streisand was touring and gave a concert in Sydney.
