Or anywhere in the greater Oregon area. I’d like to find some single malts to buy or sample. My local stores and bars have the basics; I’m hoping for, say, something 18 or 24 years old rather than 12, or more esoteric than the typical offerings. I enjoy both Highland and Islay so I’m not picky. No blends, though.

There used to be a scotch and cigar bar around the corner from the Bagdad I think-- perhaps on that same building on 35th (I only went there once a few years ago-- it might be gone, baby, gone). Otherwise, perhaps try the Horsebrass (Belmont and oh. . . 45th?)-- they seem like they’d have a selection. Maybe the County Cork pub now up by the NE Nature’s (or whatever Nature’s is now. . God, I’ve been away from Portland for a while!)?
