Single-Sex Education - a good idea?

Isn’t that exactly what happens with magnet and tracked schools? that ms. smith does teach differently to the different classes, and mr. jones does the same, leading to separate and unequal education in the same building. & as to letting the parents choose, would those who are arguing for that allow parents to choose whether their kids could go to a single race school or not, so long as long as the school district could support all of the choices?

It just sounds like a bad idea to me.

My Biases:
From my experiences, the guys who weren’t used to having women around in a professional situation had very difficult times dealing with them in a professional situation (socially, they were fine. It was when they were called to work with women that things were problemantic.) Also, I spent one year in all girls school was the worst educational experience I ever had. The language arts was mediocre to poor. The math was dumbed down far below what was expected in public schools, as was the science. And the stereotypes “girls are bad at math & science” ran rampant. There were some girls who were confident, but they didn’t know anything.
