Siting Dubya's Presidential Library

I know I would want it on any campus where I taught. $500 million just for display of a copy of “My Pet Goat” and the flightsuit from the “Mission Accomplished” photo op? Maybe they’ll paint it entirely red, for the ink the President’s added to the national ledger. Where do you think it should go?

How about at that elementary school where he read “My Pet Goat”?

 Isn’t it a bit soon to be picking a site?

Don’t forget to turn all the texts up-side-down in his library

Jeb’s Florida, for sure. A swamp sounds about right.

Nah, they’ve got to evict the tenants and tear down the buildings before they can even get started. The impending ‘judgement of history’ requires that the project be done quickly, if it is to be done at all.

Ah, well, in that case, the ideal site is . . . the Green Zone!

Is this a debate of some sort, or the first ever GD thread in history to exist simply to (gasp) be critical of the President?

Hmmm. I don’t understand your link.

The debate is, where should the library go? Where do you think, my dear Bricker?

It should be in an undisclosed location, so the think tanks connected to the library won’t hurt anybody.

I have to agree that there’s no point to this thread. This is an IMHO thing, maybe.

That’s because it was the wrong link :smack:

Lawyer in SMU case evicted, calls move ‘hostile’

Things are getting nasty down there:
Report of mysterious break-in on presidential library site

Bush has started his second book. He finished coloring the first.
ps it is supposed to include a conservative think tank.

Put it in New Orleans. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the cut of your jib, Johanna!

Make it a living library. Put it in Crawford, Texas. Right smack in the middle of W’s ranch. Visitors can watch W clearing brush, with an occasional fall from a Segue for comic relief.

!!! Would that be a first? Does any presidential library have a think-tank attached?

This might be the first with a sink-tank.

Well, if we must have something debatable in this thread, how about: Is the name George W. Bush Library oxymoronic?
To take the OP seriously: somewhere in Texas.

Like it or not, Laura is a librarian.

So am I.
