She had that phone clenched in her teeth, by the corner and judging by her facial motions she was talking on it. Alone in an SUV. My guess was that the light she was expecting to stay red had turned green and she suddenly needed both hands to turn the wheel into the parking lot I was stopped in. Instead of saying “hey, I need to put the phone down for a sec”, she just clamped it in her teeth and kept talking.
I can’t think of any other explanation.
