As noted above, Kimball International - Wikipedia Kimball made pianos and organs for over 100 years, stopping about 10-15 years ago. Half of 1950s US suburbia had a Kimball organ in the living room. The console was strong enough for non-obese folks to sit on, and of course the bench was made for sitting.
They were not the least bit waterproof or weatherproof, but many a Martini was spilled on or in them without causing too many house fires or electrocutions.
I know the OP meant a Kindle, not a Kimball, but I couldn’t resist piling on.
