That reminds me…
We went for a horseback ride on Maui, and the stables were on a pineapple plantation. They had a bunch of runty pineapples sitting on the railing, and said that we were welcome to take them - they were too small to sell. We took one back to our room, and sliced it up. It didn’t yield much flesh, but it was amazingly sweet and flavorful, like no pineapple I had ever had before.
