Why did you resurrect a thread that has been dead for such a long time to post some dumb skepticism links?
Not that I am so busy that I can’t waste time on a thread from the dead, but you could have at least posted a response worthy of my time.

It’s great that you’re interested in the boards’ past, White Raven, and while there there are definitely no rules about how or when one should post to an older thread, many posters prefer that the thread resurrector have something very interesting and/or a very persuasive argument to add to the old thread. Most of us have pretty reliable memories, and it can be frustrating to wade through 40+ posts of deja vu only to look over and see that the thread is two years old.
Debates and Pit threads on this topic spring up at the SDMB with some regularity, and while your links are interesting and do pertain to this thread, they might have been put to better use in a current discussion.
They really are very interesting links; I’ve always been quite fond of the Skepdic myself. Happy posting!

Probably has something to do with the banning and then the conversion to the new system. Connie (the old me) had around 970 posts before hundreds of them were purged and the handle was banned. FWIW.
