Skiing -v- Snowboarding

Thankyou, I will.

I still haven’t decided, but it looks like snowboarding may be the way to go.

There is a disadvantage of snowboarding in that it is more expensive, but then again… OHHH it’s so hard to decide!

I will remember to take painkillers!

???

How is it more expensive?

snowboarding is much much much easier to pick up. If you have any experience skateboarding, then that helps as well. In my experience, my first day snowboarding about 20 years ago, I could bounce around moguls and do a straight top to bottom speed burn that blew away any skier on the run.

The one time I went skiing, I barely managed to master the snowplow, and with a lot of time and effort could get from the top to the bottom of the run.

I have heard that serious skiers claim skiing is more fun. However, for a novice or intermediate, snowboarding is way better, dude.

Mea culpa. I’m a slack-jawed snowboarder, so I’m not familiar with your fancy skiing terms. “Riding” is what one does atop a snowboard, in between “standing up” and “falling down”. No offense intended.

Tele skiing: no lift lines, no crowds, and high-speed quads are the legs of the guy or gal breaking trail.

Tele. That way you learn tele and parallel. More options lead to more fun.

Hospital bills.

Way too slow for me.
