Skin flaps from braces?

Like two years ago i had gotten my braces of and when i had them on the wires had cut into the inside of my mouth like the cheeks and lips. now that i have them off they haven’t healed right and there is just skin flaps that formed the way the wire cut through. is there any way to get rid of them do they have a name?

No idea, but apparently mine healed, I have a ridge of scar going from the back towards the front that extends the length of my back molars on both sides, though it is heavier on the left side [probably because I tend to sleep with the left side of my face on the pillow.]

While “do they have a name?” is a factual question, the “is there any way to get rid of them” part of this is basically a medical advice type of question, and those go in the IMHO forum. I will move the thread there for you.

Moving thread from General Questions to In My Humble Opinion.

Don’t know if they have an actual name, but you can have them cut off by an oral surgeon.
