We do. That’s why I’m taking up a collection to give VCO3 forty bucks when he gets back.

Oh, it was funny. But a tad bit unprofessional coming from a mod in a pile-on. And then to deny it later, just not good attractive form.
I’m all in favor of members who have earned the title of being moderators here taking shots at other members they don’t particularly like when they are participating in a thread. But when one does take a shot at a guy in a locked thread, who can’t defend himself, and then later claims it had nothing to do with that particular poster, c’mon.
VCO3, when you hopefully come back please just admit that you were acting dumb.
Skip, just, you, naw. Nevermind, this thing isn’t going to be settled. Carry on with recipes.

Let’s wrench our attention away from the dusky jewels of India, and give a salute to East Coast Dopers, with the following autumnal recipe.
(From the King’s Arms Tavern, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, where I once had a lovely meal with a client)
King’s Arms Tavern Cream of Peanut Soup
(10-12 servings)
Ingredients:
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 2 ribs of celery, chopped
* 1/4 cup butter
* 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 2 quarts chicken stock or canned chicken broth
* 2 cups smooth peanut butter
* 1 3/4 cups light cream
* peanuts, chopped, to taste
Instructions: Saute the onion and celery in butter until soft, but not brown. Stir in flour until well-blended. Add chicken stock, stirring constantly, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and puree in a food processor or blender. Add peanut butter and cream, stirring to blend thoroughly. Return to low heat, but do not boil, and serve garnished with peanuts.

My, I’m glad I opened this thread. I almost didn’t.
Anyone have a Mulligatawney soup recipe? I really like Mulligatawney soup.

Waaaaahhhhhh! I have no fucking sense of humor! Let me start a Pit thread pointing that fact out so that other humorless weenies can join me in my outrage! My nipples hurt! Somebody hold me.

Why don’t you lick some more mod ass, Woody?
But seriously, I think it was pretty weaksauce to post that after the thread had been closed(and *especially * weaksauce to say it wasn’t aimed at VC03, when it clearly was), but not Pit-ably so. I laughed.
I pit posting recipes in pit threads! Coming soon!

I would also request a good recipe for Brunswick soup, please. Actually, come to think of it, I think I’ll start a Cafe thread so as not to distract from the bitching and moaning and whining and kvetching about the latest thread-closing since, as we all know, a day without a thread whining about the mods is like a day without sunshine.
Here’s the Cafe Society link: Soup!!! (And Stew!!!)

What? Huh? Sorry, I can’t make out what you’re saying with all that moderator cock in your mouth.

Well, I’m unaware of any of our Mods being in a liquid, gasseous or plasma state. Perhaps you can enlighten me.

It was incredibly funny. In fact, you could call it “youtube material” if it had been enacted in a more visual medium.

Yeah, well, what I really want to know is, what’s the trick to picking up Persian girls.
