You guys, especially @EllisDee have inspired me to pick Skyrim back up; this time, on the PS5.
I’ve been playing The Elder Scrolls games since Daggerfall, and enjoying every one (though Oblivion less so than others). I’m sure I’ve already created/played at least a dozen Skyrim characters, on the old XBox and on PC. Skyrim is “free” on my Playstation subscription level, and though I work on a PC all day I can get comfy on the sofa with my big screen and surround sound. I’m re-enjoying it.
And like @Limmin said, I went stealth archer. My last character (on PC) I focused on being a Mage, but it was really tricky - a real challenge, and not always enjoyable.
Once (if) I get bored with my Archery/Sneak/1H/Light/Block guy, I might roll an Orc 2H/Heavy warrior.
Funny. Nearly every flower that I see now, I think "nightshade"or “thistle.” And we seem to have a lot of dragon’s tongue in the spring and summer.
Has anyone run into this character? I loaded an old save last night of a level 30 or so character and appeared in Falkreath. I headed to the Dead Man’s Drink. Almost immediately after I walked in the door this NPC comes rushing at me wielding a mace above her head and before I could move just cuts me down in one blow. Her name was Arial Acornrun. She was yelling, “You’ll never get away with it!” I must have reloaded 5 times before I just gave up. I did a couple of searches for her but couldn’t turn anything up. It’s a challenge now. I’m going to find a way to beat her.
Another weird thing was as soon as my save loaded the Falkreath guards started attacking me. I didn’t think a whole lot of it because I many have killed someone or something in town and just forgot about it but it was just odd that it came seemingly from nowhere.
That could be it! I ended up chasing her out of the inn and beating her down but she’s one of those NPCs that can’t die. If she’s a merchant that would explain it I guess. After the encounter I left Falkreath for a couple of days and when I returned she wasn’t around. I’ll keep an eye out for her.
