Slippery Slope, Cracked Foundation

With all the discussions of corruption that are going on now, it leads me to think about a metaphor I use in my head a lot, that I’d love to see actually put into use, because I think it’s a good metaphor.

We talk of a slippery slope as being what happens when you pile small bad behaviors together to create something of a landslide effect.

So “Cracked Foundation” I use to refer to a corruption that was there in the beginning, that infects the entire structure built on top of it.

So, what are some cracks you see in the foundations of certain ideologies or within society at present?

1 - That our political process is not strictly values-based but claims to me
2 - That we are told we are free when this is patently not so
3 - Education.
